TL;DR
I finished off another roll on the half frame camera today. I’m excited to get them back, for two reasons - I think there’s still some from the end of our Uluru trip on there, AND it’s a new type of colour film.
Today was the last day of uni for the semester, and I didn’t go. Instead I picked up some extra work doing some liquor merchandising in Dan Murpheys. I LOVE liquor merching. I generally work in grocery, but liquor is much more chilled, there’s less people, less variety in the products, etc etc. And cuter boys.
Last week one of my tutors came up to me after class and asked if I’d be interested interviewing for a position as a research assistant at the Ehrenberg Bass Institute of Marketing Science - I said yes, naturally! Market research is a field I would really like to try, and the institute does some really interesting work with some quite high profile clients. I forwarded my CV onto my tutor, but was worried I wouldn’t hear back from them. I received an email today from the recruiter asking if I’d like to come in and have a chat with him. I’m not getting my hopes up but.. well, really, yes I am. Kinda. Although it would most likely mean giving up my current job AND (the worst bit) my iPad. Which I love.
Still waiting to hear back from JBs about a christmas casual job.. quickly losing optimism. I know that the store I want hadn’t hired theirs as of last week, but I haven’t heard anything. Sigh. So I asked about them at one of the Dan Murpheys stores - the store manager said all the job applications are done online now, and they don’t really get a say in who they get - but he gave me an expression of interest form and very specific instructions on who to give it to and how to go about it. So who knows, that may pan out nicely.
I felt like I hadn’t done much writing on here lately, it was mostly mindless picture taking. So here’s a snapshot of my life as of the 2nd of November, 2011.
