– The Keeper (featuring Andreya Triana) - Bonobo
I could listen to this song over and over and over on repeat forever.

I just received this in an email from the National Field Manager of Unicharm, one of our clients, in regards to the news today that our awesome supervisor is leaving due to personal reasons.
This kinda sucks, mostly for the fact that our team is made up of about 8 people, with only...
I’m going on my first ever *actual* pubcrawl tonight. I mean, I’ve been on pub crawls, but before I was at uni. This one is for my actual division and my course and I actually know people through my own merits, and not through friends who actually go to uni. I’m pretty excited, although I have an economics test from 5-7, which means I can’t pre-drink.. Which is a weird...
Twitter is kind of amazing.
Yesterday I posted about going to the Adelaide Planetarium in July, and ended up talking to whoever ran the ThinkTank Planetarium in Birmingham about it.
I love these little interactions that seem to happen more and more often on Twitter.
Choc Chip Muesli
I’ve probably eaten at least a couple of chocolate chip muesli bars a week for the past couple of months - they’re easy to grab on the way out the house and eat as a snack at uni/work. So it’s safe to say I know my muesli bars.
And well, I’m pretty concerned with the lack of consistency with the choc-chip to muesli ratio. How is it possible that the other day I got an...
I think I’m going to go to bed and look at information about studying overseas, in place of actual studying tonight. If I don’t get around to that, I’m at least definitely going to look at pictures of Edinburgh Uni on flickr.
I love the danger in distance I’d rather be missing you
Deep Space.
From the looks of it, and I am aware that this is TOTALLY nerdy, I’ll be going to Night Skies of Ancient Egypt at the planetarium in July. I am SO EXCITED. I’ve never been to a planetarium before - I wasn’t even aware Adelaide had one - and this seems like a perfect opportunity to get my geek on.
I don’t know what to expect! I want to go, like, now.
Have you guys been streaming the Seeker Lover...
If not, you should. It’s divine.

I feel terrible, I just started the job a couple of months ago! My thinking is they’ll be pretty flexible though, they told me when I started they completely wanted to support me through my study. Did I push my luck asking for the swotvac week off too?
Although I’m loving my new job, it does kinda suck being responsible for stores and sales, and not having someone who can just step in...

– Part of an introduction - is this too wanky? I’ve been writing that many essays and long answer questions recently, I can’t decide what’s bullshit and what’s relevant. I have to write a personal opinion in third person.. I’ve never had to do this before!
I’d...

Study music suggestions?
Lately I’ve been listening to a LOT of Radiohead while I study and take my notes. Does anyone have any productivity-inspiring music they like to use?

And then I realise that there’s no way to effectively communicate tone, volume or emotion through a written medium, and resist.

I, too, am drinking wine while doing homework/real work/instant messaging.

– Valentin Borisevich, from the book Voices of Chernobyl. I really can’t get over how gripping, and haunting, and saddening this book is. All of the recounts have a couple of recurring themes - relating the nuclear disaster back to the war, being kept in the dark by the government, and generally...
